US Soya Complex Settles In Red On Some Profit Taking
Soybean complex prices were mostly lower on the close Monday. But price changes were modest. July soybeans lost 1 cent to close at $13.93. July soybean meal fell $1.30 to close at $362.30. July soybean oil futures added 2 points to close at 58.60 cents per pound. New-crop November soybeans closed down 1/2 cent at $13.73 3/4.
The soybean market mostly closed on the downside on Monday, but losses were minimal. The dollar index eventually reversed from its bounce and was on the downside.
Soybean fundamentals are actually more price positive when the corn planting outlook improves as it implies better odds for corn to reach its intentions without shifting some acres to beans.
