South Korea May Boost Imports of Soybean Meal, Oil, USDA Says
South Korea may boost imports of soybean meal to 1.65 million metric tons in the marketing year that begins Oct. 1, up from a projected 1.6 million this year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service said today in a report on its website. The official USDA forecast for this year is 1.85 million.
Soybean-oil imports will rise to 340,000 tons in the marketing year that ends Sept. 30, up from 318,000 tons last year and the official USDA forecast of 300,000 tons, according to the government agency. Imports may rise to 360,000 tons in year that begins Oct. 1.
